CENTRAL AND EAST OF ENGLAND DEALMAKERS AWARDS 2009
Between 1 September and 20 November, advisors and directors from the top 200 quoted companies based in Herts, Beds, Bucks, Oxon, Cambs, Northants and Norfolk will nominate teams and individuals for the Central and East of England Dealmakers Awards 2009.
“The international economic climate is tough and there are many problems to solve. The key is within people who can find solutions, and at last year's awards, the room was packed with them,” explained Phil Verity, Managing Partner at Mazars in Milton Keynes.
Mazars, as last year's winners of Corporate Finance Advisory Team of the Year, with their leader, Mark Standish, who won the coveted Dealmaker of the Year award, will sponsor the Central and East of England Dealmakers Awards 2009.
“Even though the industry has been tight, across the board, Milton Keynes is a new stronghold for corporate finance which gives those in London a real run for their money. This is why we have continued to hold our Central and East of England Dealmakers Awards dinner in Milton Keynes,” added Ian Wolfendale, Business Development Manager of Insider.
The Dealmakers winners will be announced on 24 November at the gala dinner at the Jury's Inn right in the heart of Milton Keynes' business district. Garry Richardson, presenter of Radio Four's Today programme and Five Live's Sportsweek will compere the evening in his infamous BBC style. This year, the event's chosen charity will be the Spinal Injuries Association, and the evening promises to be one of the most high-profile networking opportunities for miles.
“The aim of the event is to recognise the wealth of talent from the region's professional services sector and highlight the region's very best firms,” commented Ian.
